This project showcases the development of a sustainable fashion collection centered on reworked, thrifted garments. Each piece is constructed using patchwork techniques, emphasizing both environmental responsibility and creative individuality. The work highlights a commitment to extending the lifecycle of clothing while producing unique, design-forward pieces.
I begin the process by sourcing secondhand materials, carefully selecting garments based on quality, texture, and potential for transformation. From there, I deconstruct and reconstruct each item, experimenting with composition, color relationships, and fabric placement to create cohesive patchwork designs. This hands-on approach allows for both technical exploration and creative problem-solving.
In addition to the physical garments, I develop a comprehensive brand presentation to support the collection. This includes designing a lookbook that visually communicates the pieces through thoughtful styling, layout, and photography. I also create supporting brand materials such as a logo, thank-you cards, and business cards, ensuring a consistent visual identity across all touchpoints.
As part of the marketing strategy, I outline a plan for promoting the collection through Depop, focusing on audience engagement and brand positioning. In my role as a social media ambassador for Goodwill, I also produce digital content to further amplify the project, integrating storytelling and visual branding to reach a wider audience.
Overall, the project combines sustainable design practices with strategic branding and marketing, resulting in a cohesive and multifaceted fashion initiative.
