A Bit About Me

Some specific interests I have are marketing and graphic design. For example, I think something Chipotle could do is introduce the option of a nacho bowl. I think they would make a lot of money from it, and the advertising for it would be really interesting to see. Another interest I have is graphic design itself. I love looking at different graphics and thinking about the process the designer went through to get to the final version. I also enjoy studying layouts and “judging” how effective they are. If I like a graphic, I’ll often take a picture of it for inspiration.

Art has always been a part of my life. As a kid, I was always doing something creative, whether it was drawing, painting, or some type of craft. I still love doing creative things today. Recently, I started something called a junk journal, and I really enjoy it. It’s an easy way to get my creative ideas flowing—I just glue different materials onto a page and build from there. Now, as a senior in college, I get to be even more creative through my capstone project, which includes hand-altered clothing pieces that I designed. I’ve been interested in fashion design since I was young, from sketchbooks where I designed outfits to old McDonald’s Happy Meal toys that let you create paper clothing. Overall, I feel like art makes the world a better place because it gives people something to connect and bond over.

In college, I’ve also had a lot of group project experience. One of them was X-Culture, where we collaborated with students from all over the world. I took on a leadership role in my group, hosting Zoom meetings, assigning tasks, and making sure everyone stayed on track. It was challenging, but we were successful, and our group performed well enough to be invited to a conference for the project.
